Necessity the mother of invention, confusion the mother of philosophical thought?
As they say, “necessity is the mother of invention.” I would like to add, “confusion is the mother of philosophical thought.” I have my reasons. After all, how could inquisitiveness have started without confusion. According to me, confusion came first. Inquisitiveness was the result of that, and inquisitiveness led us to philosophy and the evolution of it. Starting with the great philosophers of the time, we are here today – everyone is a philosopher. At least, all of us think we are philosophers – thanks to the proliferation of information available on the internet, and the dearth of self-styled life coaches who speak with a lot of conviction.
